Changes to pricing
Updated August 1, 2007
As of July 30, 2007, Shopify has a new selection of price plans for our users to choose from, which are shown on our signup page. These new plans were developed to serve the growing number of people who have been telling us that they love what they see, but the unfortunately the price was a deal breaker because the transaction fee was too high.
We decided it was important to give our active shop owners the option of either staying with their old plan or moving to one of the new ones. This applies to Shopify users who have:
- signed up for our original plan,
- added a credit card to their account, and either:
- made sales since they started their shop, or
- logged in to their shop within the last 30 days.
These users keep their original plan, while inactive accounts are converted to our free trial plan automatically. All of our customers can upgrade their account at any time through the account screen in their shop administration interface.
If you have a shop that was converted to a trial account but you think it shouldn’t have been, just use the “feedback” link at the bottom of the support screen of your shop’s administration interface to get in touch with us about it.
